Having grown up with a mother who was a sewer, knitter and course-taker it seemed it was in my genes to follow suit!

As a child I was always making and creating and attending various art and craft courses during school holidays. My passion for crafting was reignited about ten years ago when I became a stay at home mum. I wanted something to do that provided me with a creative outlet yet allowed me to still focus on raising my three daughters. I began making personalised towels for children using offcuts of fabrics I had collected along the way, and soon Sew Cute was born. I loved trawling the internet and shops for fabrics and creating a gift that was unique and personal.

Over the last couple of years I have wanted to try my hand at anything new and have undertaken many short courses including photography, crochet, weaving and Shibori.  I love learning something new and seeing where it can take you and the instant gratification you get when making something from scratch.

Frayed has become a place where I can share the things I create.
