Ceramics

Lucy Hookway is a ceramicist based in Sydney. 

After a career in hospitality and public relations, Lucy started her creative journey launching her business Frayed. She explored and refined her skills in different crafts including weaving, shibori dying and textile art. 

In 2019, Lucy embarked on a new creative adventure: ceramics. She enrolled in the Beginner ceramics class at Northern Beaches TAFE and this year will complete her Advanced Diploma.

Lucy is captivated by the constant learning and endless possibilities that ceramics offers. Her work, primarily produced using slip casting, reflects a unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and innovative design, creating pieces that are both timeless and contemporary.
